The Amateur Team Building Toward the Top of the Sport

High-performance sailing for people who've been locked out of it. Women, youth, minorities, sailors without yacht club connections β€” racing at a professional level, based in Annapolis.

Why This Program Exists

I didn't grow up sailing. I didn't know sailboat racing existed until I showed up at the College of Charleston and wandered into a club fair. I joined the sailing club on a whim, the coach told me to try out for the offshore team, and two weeks later I was racing on the number one college sailing program in the country β€” a world I didn't know was there until I stumbled into it.

That was pure luck. There was no pathway, no program, no one pointing the way. And here's the thing β€” even now, with America's Cup experience and years of offshore racing behind me, there's still no clear path forward in this sport. High-performance racing infrastructure barely exists in the United States for anyone who isn't independently wealthy. If I can't find a straightforward way up, a kid growing up today has no chance of even knowing this world exists. That's what this program is building β€” the on-ramp I never had.

🏁
Amateur-Based, Professional-Level

Real people with real jobs training at the highest level. Not a billionaire's vanity project β€” a working team built on merit.

Open Doors

Goal: 50+ sailors through the program in Year 1. Women, youth, minorities, sailors with no yacht club background β€” if you show up, there's a spot.

WASZP Class

Single-handed foiling dinghy β€” one of the most technically demanding one-design classes in the world. Hull lifts completely out of the water on hydrofoils at 20+ knots. The closest thing to America's Cup technology a single sailor can access.

"The team that trains together wins together."

Structured coaching, drone video analysis, and a development path from Wednesday night racing to offshore campaigns.

Long-Term Vision

The Highest Level

The VendΓ©e Globe. The Ocean Race. The America's Cup. The sailors, systems, and sponsors built in Phases 1 and 2 are what make that possible.

The Moneyball Challenger

The first amateur-based America's Cup campaign. Not built to outspend β€” built to get real people to the start line at the lowest investment level in Cup history. Sail more than you simulate. Remove cost before raising money.
